Meet The Pastor:
Andy Safarik
Pastor Andy began serving his Lord and Savior in full time ministry as a teacher, director of Christian education, and missionary after graduating from Concordia Seward in 1981.
He was ordained as a pastor in 2009 and served first in rural ministry where he had three regular churches, one pulpit supply church, and one ranch church around the dining room table.
Now at Shepherd of the Valley in Pahrump, Nevada, Pastor continues to do what he loves: preaching, visiting, and learning more about God’s Word everyday. According to his wife, Johanna, he’s also a great cook (makes a hot sauce that she’s grown to love after 35 years of marriage), but what touches her heart is his compassion for people in need. .
Pastor Andy says, “Here in Pahrump, we’re between Sin City and Death Valley – the perfect place for the Good News of Jesus.”
